Jeff and I have been making noise about moving to Costa Rica for years. We have finally committed to going. Just today we signed a 6 month lease for a 4 bedroom house in Brasilito so IT IS OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL! There are many reasons why we’ve decided to go now.

All of our parents have passed. Truthfully, I’m not sure we would go if they were still living. But not having to worry about them has freed us up in a way. Don’t get me wrong, we miss them all like crazy but it is definitely easier to move now.

The Bits have been adopted. When we were fostering the girls, we couldn’t go unless we disrupted the placement and it was impossible to leave them behind. Yes, we are far to old to have kids 5 and 8 but here we are…a subject for a blog entirely of it’s own.

Kylie needed to finish high school. And she is now finishing up her first year of college. She has thrived this year and we can go to CR confident that she is right where she needs to be.

Also, I’m not going to lie, the current state of affairs in the USA is not compelling us to stick around.

CJ will be joining us which makes me so happy. Of course, I want all my older kids to come with but they all seem to have their own adult lives…when did that happen?

I have started this blog to share our journey with friends and family so I don’t have to copy and paste the same text over and over. Hoping y’all will come and visit!
