It is Spring Break and I have taken the Bits to visit their big sisters. First stop, Chapel HIll for a Mr. Tokyo dinner with Kylie. With our very full bellies, we spent the night in a Raleigh Hotel and made our way to Quinn’s adorable row house in Philly. Road tripping with the Bits is always an adventure. Seven straight hours in the car with them can only be compared to a colonoscopy on the fun scale.

We made it Saturday early afternoon. Everyone is alive and only slightly psychologically scarred from the experience. Yesterday, we met an old college roommate of mine and her kids at Legoland. The Bits have recently become obsessed with legos so this was the perfect activity. However, I give the 4D movie experience 1 star. The plot was questionable (I am not sure there actually was one) and the water features did not align with the actions in the movie. Fortunately it all seemed to appeal to the BIts and was only 12 minutes which is why I gave it 1 star and not zero. The rest of Legoland was fabulous and the girls had a blast. And I always love catching up with Travis and her beautiful daughters.

Today and tomorrow will be spent packing up the belongings CJ left behind when Quinn evicted him. I wanted to to spend time with Quinn before we move and someone had to get CJ’s crap. I am also here to reclaim my 95lb dog, Dandelion. She came to PA with CJ in November and Quinn has decided that without her brother to take care of Big Bertha, she needs to return to NC (the dog, not Quinn). Looks like Dandee will be accompanying us to Costa Rica. (How we plan to get our giant dog to Costa Rica is fodder for another post).

Not the most exciting spring break but I figure since we’ll be moving to the beach in a few months, this spring break can be sacrificed to make that happen. And the Bits are inexperienced enough with Spring Break that they don’t realize they got screwed.
